Ipoh/Penang

I had a rather short break towards the end of October.

From the 24th - 27th, went up to Ipoh first; then Penang.

may look retarded but its funny xD

Ipoh was boring. Visited a friend of my aunt's.

At least, we got to accommodate at free place. No charge.

Day 1
First, to have LUNCH.

I was more excited about Penang. The fun is there man. Not Ipoh. I really don't know what so great about Ipoh other than the food I guess? What I hear, Ipoh is more for the elderly ain't it? Sorry if your hometown is there, but I just didn't enjoy myself there.

Knowing how aunties are, it wasn't an enjoyable one.

Chicken Rice for Dinner... pretty decent food at least.
Was feeling kinda full after tea. Think it was high tea instead.

Day 2
Time to head to the island.

But first, we needed a bite.
I gotta say this mall was cool. Its a 1u in Penang. =P I like it there.

So filled. Wow.
Time to head to the hotel to CHECK-IN.


They had Coffee BEAN! Free WiFi too! Too bad I didn't get the chance to try it out. Had to stay inside the hotel for security purposes and use the sucky internet there. =(

Later, my family got a chance to catch a movie there.


The movie was ridiculous. Not what I had expected. I know its about food, but could I say it may have been a little too much. After watching food fall out from the sky, and me wondering if its clean to eat, I felt like my appetite had just went down the drain. I longer felt hungry. But how to? Its Penang food we're gonna eat. So eat man.

I got to Penang and eat some DELICIOUS food!

The food was AWESOME!!! I want more! Can't get any in KL man. Darn it. =(

So now, I finally got to taste the awsomeness of the Asam Laksa!!! The BEST!

Day 3
Time to visit the famous Penang Hill. The front was a good background. Good picture.

I don't look very pleasant here. =( the sun's glare was in my eyes. Too bad no sunglasses man. But it looks alright, right?

They had 3 stations altogether. This is the middle front where you interchange to go up. Otherwise there'll be no way else up there.

Finally. We reached the top. About time. After all the heat.

Day 4
Time to ride a boat. A car on a boat. =)


Back to here again you would ask? Well, yeah. It was the best western restaurant we could find. And besides, its a cooling place too.

too bad we didn't get a chance to take a bite. =(

Isn't it a good thing to have more holidays in a year?

Thats what I ask myself..

First, Penang.

Now, Terrengganu.

Speaking of which, all these places are stating to come back to memory.

Travelling in my younger days, I realized that I slept most of the time.

Sad. But honestly, they were they most boring parts of the trip.

I've been fortunate enough to travel to so many places. Couple of times too.

Let me see...

Internationally: Hong Kong, Belgium, United Kingdom (England), Australia, SIngapore.

Locally: Sabah, Penang, Tasik Kenyir, Ipoh, Setiawan, Muar, Melaka, Camerons, and Genting.

Gosh! In my 16 years of living in this world, its been a pleasure travelling.

But all I've ever wanted to go has been the United States. I'VE NEVER BEEN THERE!!!

So sad.. =(

So I've made it a point that I shall go there in another 1-2 more years.

Yet to go for UNI! Can't wait.

At the end of October, my little brother got his first tooth out! 29th to be exact.
Cool eh?
Bet not. But it was cause he's never experienced it before.
I mean, who would when you're 6?
After that, he started complaining and all about his tooth falling out or not.
And that was annoying. But that's what little brothers do.

How was it?
It was an awesome 1 hour with the band!

The concert was shit but when the band came out it was awesome.
See the contrast there.
Local management really caused this whole thing to delay A LOT!

Before I was there, I shall rewind a bit.
After church, everyone decided to go to Calvary's Carnival thingy to get lunch.
So we did.
It was busy. Saw a lot of unexpected things.
Bought interesting things too.

Games and food were alright. They were certainly out of the ordinary. Something you don't see a normal carnival actually having these big names coming in to sponsor. Must be a really big thing for them. In all this, they're actually gonna have a massive convention all to themselves in a pretty big piece of land.

Then had to go to AAR. Cannot believe people would be already waiting under the hot sun just to get into the queue and be early. Phew! Good thing friends were there early. I know I was late man.

Concert started.
Waited another half hour.
They let us started going in at about 5.45pm. Pushing and all was on for about 15-20mins.
Feet were damn painful. Wore the wrong shoes too. =( They ached when I reached home.
Concert started like 7.30pm; orginally 6pm.
A malay guy came singing "teenagers" by My Chemical Romance.
Everyone enjoyed it and lost the mood more later.
Then came the local bands which were boring like anything. Cannot even hear a word.
Pop Shuvit and One Buck Short was okay. Disagree was terrible. *Boooo*

Then AAR came on like half hour to an hour later. 10pm =(
Wanted to go home already.
Finish concert, everyone started looking for food.
Then cabut.
